Course Duration: 2 days

Aim: This course is meant for Obstetricians & Gynaecologists planning to start IUI units/or to be up to date with newer developments in Assisted reproductive technologies. The course is designed to provide both Clinical management modalities and overview and management of an Andrology Lab.

ADVANCED INFERTILITY TRAINING

Course Duration: 15 days

Aim: This course is meant for Gynaecologists/Infertility specialists planning to start IVF units/or to be up to date with newer developments in Assisted reproductive technologies. The course is designed to provide both Clinical management modalities and overview and management of day today activities in an Infertility Centre.

Course Content

CLINICAL: Requirements of an Infertility facility: space, manpower, equipment. History and work up of the infertile couple. Applied endocrinology of the female and male reproductive system. How to plan treatment: Monitoring, IUI / IVF. How to plan regular and batch IVF programs. Preliminary testing .Basic knowhow of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Interactive discussion on various stimulation protocols. Basics of Ultrasound scanning and monitoring Follicular monitoring, drugs and dosages IUI room/IVF OT. Technical details of IUI , ovum pick up and Embryo transfer Diagnosing complications, and their management Work up for special situations: Third party reproduction, frozen embryo transfer cycles Counseling.

Embryology & Lab

Basics of embryology and andrology Operational details & technicalities of IVF lab equipments Consumables and disposables and the list of vendors. Latest technologies for Air quality management in IVF lab Demonstration of IVF lab procedures including: Conventional IVF, ICSI, Vitrification, Blastocyst culture using single step media All about an Andrology Lab and the best sperm processing techniques. Eligibility criteria for IUI Stimulation Protocol:-

  • Holding of MBBS + MD, MS or equivalent qualification like- DNB, DGO
  • Membership of FOGSI for 5 years or submit the proof of Membership of Local Area Society (Obs & gynae.)
  • Kindly attach Self attested Certified copies for proof.

Course Content :-

  • Indication of IUI
  • Importance of day 3 hormone profile in an IUI cycle
  • What a Gynaecologist must know in an infertility scan?
  • Ovulation Induction
  • Semen Analysis
  • Ultrasound monitoring & hands on training in the LAB

Fees :-

Payment of Rs. 3,540/- (Including tax) by Demand Draft payable at Mumbai in favour of “F.O.G.S.I.”.

Eligibility criteria for FOGSI 14 days training Program:-

  • Holding of MBBS+MD, MS or equivalent qualification like- DNB, DGO
  • Membership of FOGSI for 5 years or submit the proof of Membership of Local Area Society (Obs & gynae.)
  • Publication of 3 papers in any reputed Journal / Newsletter / FOGSI Focus etc in the last 10 years or 100 ICOG Credit Points over any 5 years.
  • Attendance of 2 FOGSI sponsored Congresses in the last 10 years.
  • Presentation of at least 2 papers at FOGSI / FIGO / AOFOG / National / State Level Congresses as 1st author in the last 10 years.
  • Kindly attach Self attested Certified copies for proof.
  • Candidates could collect the Training Certificates after 10-15(Working Days) from the selected/assigned training centre after the completion of training program.

Fees :-

Eligibility criteria for ICOG Fellowship - 6 Month

  • Holding of MD/DGO or equivalent qualification for 10 years.
  • Membership of FOGSI for 5 years.
  • Publication of 3 papers in any reputed Journal / Newsletter / FOGSI Focus etc in the last 10 years or 100 ICOG Credit Points over any 3 years.
  • Attendance of 2 FOGSI sponsored Congresses in the last 10 years.
  • Presentation of atleast 2 papers at FOGSI / FIGO / AOFOG / National / State Level Congresses as 1st author in the last 10 years.

Fees :-

Fellowship payment of Rs.90,000/- by Demand Draft payable at Mumbai in favour of “F.O.G.S.I.”.
